$7.04/lb
($15,520/tonne). Indicators at 5:45 am CST today show nickel trading around $.08/lb
lower. Stockpiles of nickel stored in LME licensed warehouses rose sharply on Monday and ended the day reading just over the 189,500 tonne level. Stockpile numbers have gained over 12,500 tonnes since last Monday. Shanghai nickel slipped to 123,730 y/t overnight. Nickel is trading lower this morning, something it has been doing for much of 2025, although it typically does not end as low as it drops early on. In fact there have been a few times, it opened lower but ended the day higher. Busy news day with Anglo American apparently getting out of the nickel business.
